Such a Fragile Peace

Such a Fragile Peace invites the reader back to a time in the late 1980’s and 1990’s, a period of convergence of political and social events in our country’s history. In this novel’s setting, the Cavendishes, an upwardly mobile family, transitions from a segregated era to a time of hard won, newly gained rights. Antonio, the apparent heir of his family’s aspirations, finds himself dealing with the complexities of their heritage, the ever evolving “coming of age” changes, and the struggle to speak his own voice in the midst of chatter from others. Expect family tensions and tenderness, several great love stories, the testing of their faith in God, and a major climax to these dynamics.
